Position Products so that it makes perfect sense in the mind of the cusomer to buy

Last night I did a LIVE Webinar training for my Layoff Your Boss 3 students and during the training I started touching on something that I will be teaching to them in the near future, and I thought I would share it with you.

I want you to think about your business like a ladder. I don’t care if you have one now or are just in the thinking stage.

A ladder as you know has several rungs or steps. At the bottom of this ladder is your entry level or lead generating products. At the top of the ladder is where you want your customer to end up at to find the solution of the problem that your customers are facing and that your products or services are providing.

Your job is to control as much of the ladder from top to bottom as possible.

Just a note for you to think about… (If you don’t your competition will)

So you are going to fill in each step your customer climbs with products and services that make sense to the customers mind.

How successful you are with this is going to depend on how you position the products and services on the ladder.

When you look at the ladder you need to pay special attention to the steps or the holes that need filling in your backend strategy.

What is missing that would keep your customer from making it to the top of the ladder and achieving success. When you find it, you need fill the holes.

Now you can fill each step of the ladder with…

A. Your Products or B. Affiliate Products.

This is where Affiliate Marketing really takes off in my mind.

You don’t have to create everything yourself. As long as the next step the customer is about to take makes sense to them, they will take it and they will love “YOU” for helping them get there no matter if it was your product or an Affiliate product.

Now not only will they trust your products and services, they will also trust your recommendations when you promote an Affiliate product.

So what I am trying to say is this… Promote products that make perfect sense for your customers to get to the next step of the ladder you control.

With my own products I know what is missing and what some of the things are that keep people jumping from one shiny object to the next and never quite figuring out the whole puzzle.

So I look for products that are of good quality and meet certain standards.

They must be a good product that will help you get to the next step of the ladder and the product owner has to be accountable to that product and make sure they are going to take care of you when I send you to them to teach. Most importantly the product needs to be something that I beleive is going to make sense to the customer to buy.

It may make sense to you all day long and you know it is something that the customer needs but if it is not positioned in a way to make sense to the customer…THEY ARE NOT BUYING!

You do want them to buy right?
