I really believe that Benjamin Franklin said it best, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”

I believe it is the same reason most deer hunters miss the deer on opening day!  In the excitement of seeing that Big Buck we shoot without the necessary preparation it takes to actually hit the deer… We forget to take proper aim!  The story comes back that I just missed a big buck by a couple inches.  It does not matter how many inches the miss was… it was still a miss.

Most people fail at the things we try like Affiliate Marketing  because we get so excited and caught up in the hype and the possibilities of making money that we would rather just jump in and FIRE!

We jump the gun and FIRE First, rather than invest the appropriate time to get READY for our shot and we certainly never even think about our AIM!  On a positive note:  If you aim for nothing there is a good chance you will hit it.

The biggest excuse for this is because it feels “unproductive” to prepare and set up a system… We want or need money or results right now!  Sometimes the circumstance we live in demands this.  I really understand this trust me.  I have been in the situation of needing money to the point it was so stressful I couldn’t take it much anymore.

Every day the phone ringing from debt collectors wanting money that I just did not have.  Not that I didn’t want to pay it… Just did not have it to pay.

But understand this one thing right now… Preparation is how the successful succeed, and if success is really what you want, which I really believe it is, then  proper preperation  is the only way your going to become one of the successful!

I guess the last sentence is the solution to the problem then.  If you want to success at Affiliate Marketing then it is going to take nothing more than proper planning and preparation for your success.

You need to start your planning and preparation by setting the right goals both long and short term goals which we will talk about in my next post.

How To Be Succesful Making Money On The Internet!

Internet Marketing seems to capture the attention of so many people looking to make money online.

It is something I never thought I would do until May of 2007 when I was about to be layed off from my job. Now what would I do.

My son Keith Wellman decided I should try out what he had been very successfully doing for several years. He had been successfully making money online by running his own home Internet business.

But is it something I could do? I had no Internet skills whatsoever. My expertise was basically sending emails and looking up old Marine Corps Friends I was stationed with in at Marine Barracks Naval Submarine Base Bangor in the State of Washington to have a reunion.

Well I decided out of desperation to give it a try and with the help of my son I successfully launched my first Internet product which I called Layoff Your Boss. It was actually very successful It generated a list of 10,000 subscribers, and generated 104,349 in just 30 days.

Well I got quite a bit of flak over this with my critics telling me I could not have done what I did without the help of my successful son Keith Wellman. Well DUH! This used to upset me, but I tell everyone now that if you want to be successful at starting up your home business you better get a successful person in your corner like I did.

Well during the first six months of my new business I decided I was going to prove to the world and my critics I could indeed do this again and do it ALL BY MYSELF! Sounds like a 2 year old mentality doesn’t it?

Well indeed I did do it again and I created my second Internet product called The Millionaire Boss!

But wait this time I had very different results…

Yes I did make money, but about $95,000 less than the first time. All I made was a measly little $10,000. What happened?

Well with these results I decided everyone was right and was ready to quit. They were right I couldn’t do it by myself. Guess what? Neither can you.

My problem was that I was doing everything all by myself. I had amazing results the first time and it was because I had a good coach and mentor and a team of outsourcers doing the things I could not do yet and maybe never would be able to do or want to do. It was a team of people working together just like a real business.

There are many things that need to happen if you want to have the results I did. I will be honest with you and tell you that my results are not even close to the real results of those trying to get started running their own home online business. But they are possible with the very things I had in place.

You need to understand that my results are not typical results. I had a successful son already making money on the Internet helping me every step of the way. He coached and Mentored me to my success. Becoming successful on the Internet takes a lot of Hard work and Dedication. It takes changing your mindset and believing in yourself. It takes surrounding yourself with a team of supporters that care about your results. it takes finding a good coach and mentor that will lead you just as my son Keith led me.

Many of my students as well as most students of other marketers never make a single dime online. Reason is that they are not willing to really invest in their future and doing what it takes to start up a home business.

Internet Marketing Partnerships Better Than Outsourcing

Internet Marketing  and home online business startup has it’s way of throwing lots of little wrenches and challenges your way when you are trying to get going.  Especially when most of us do not have all of the skills that are needed to get EVERYTHING done that is needed to be accomplished in order to run our howe Internet Marketing Business.

Most of us just do not possess all of the skills needed to do everything.

I found what I feel to be the best way around this.  I found a partner that has the skills I lacked and I have the skills that my partner is not as strong in.

It used to scare me a little to think about taking on a business partner.  I wondered if we would get along just right or if I was going to be able to bring in enough money into my home business to support two.

When I finally decided that it was the right thing to do I found out how exciting things can really get.

I have to wonder where your focus is right now as you strive to achieve the success you desire and actually start growing your online business and actually starting to make money on the Internet.  Are you focusing on the giant, or the Success and your strengths?  If you are focused on the giant you are about to stumble.

Facing 2009 life is going to taunt many of us with bills you can’t pay, people you can’t please, habits you just can’t seem to break, failures you just can’t seem to forget, and a future that you just can’t seem to face or you don’t want to face as you can’t see how it is going to possibly have even an OK outcome.

You are hearing the sounds of your giants or your Goliaths loud and clear aren’t you?

You know your Goliath or your Giant,  You recognize his walk and the thunder of his loud voice as he taunts you over and over again with everything that seems to be a failure in your life.  Each bill you can’t pay he says, “your going under and there is no hope.” Each person you fail to please he calls you a looser, Every Job that falls away he tells you that you can’t even provide for your family, and on and on it goes.

I know this to be true as I faced these giants in my life and still do from time to time.

But guess what… Goliath has and will continue to be defeated unless “YOU” allow him to have the victory over you.

FOCUS on the Giant and you will continue to stumble…Focus on your help and your strengths and the giants are in for the big fall.

If you have ever heard of the bible story David and Goliath and are familiar with the life of David you will know he seemed to fall in his life as often as he seemed to stand.  He seemed to stumble and fall as often as he conquered.  He knew and heard the sound of Goliath loud and clear but he didn’t focus on Goliath, His focus was on the one that gave him the help he needed to stand and face
the giant with.

That’s why the GIANT Fell.

To many people are focusing on the weaknesses and the giants that are keeping them from achieving their dream of ever making any money online AT ALL!

–> You focus on how many products you bought and never seen a profit.

–> You focus on how many things seem to prevent you from success.

–> You focus on everyone that has made money and wonder what is wrong  with you and why can’t you make it happen.

–> You focus on all of the weaknesses you have such as tech skills or writing.

–> You focus on how much work it will be to get an awesome result instead of focusing on the awesome result.

Today I answered an email back from a possible coaching student looking for one on one help and the whole focus was on how have Dixie and I helped everyone else, instead of How we can help them.

Heck yes you have to have credibility in your programs and have the proof that it works.

But what good does it do you to know how many people I have helped if you don’t believe you will get the same results or better yourself?

Hey I’m just sayin!
