I have to wonder where your focus is right now as you strive to achieve the success you desire and actually start growing your online business and actually starting to make money on the Internet.  Are you focusing on the giant, or the Success and your strengths?  If you are focused on the giant you are about to stumble.

Facing 2009 life is going to taunt many of us with bills you can’t pay, people you can’t please, habits you just can’t seem to break, failures you just can’t seem to forget, and a future that you just can’t seem to face or you don’t want to face as you can’t see how it is going to possibly have even an OK outcome.

You are hearing the sounds of your giants or your Goliaths loud and clear aren’t you?

You know your Goliath or your Giant,  You recognize his walk and the thunder of his loud voice as he taunts you over and over again with everything that seems to be a failure in your life.  Each bill you can’t pay he says, “your going under and there is no hope.” Each person you fail to please he calls you a looser, Every Job that falls away he tells you that you can’t even provide for your family, and on and on it goes.

I know this to be true as I faced these giants in my life and still do from time to time.

But guess what… Goliath has and will continue to be defeated unless “YOU” allow him to have the victory over you.

FOCUS on the Giant and you will continue to stumble…Focus on your help and your strengths and the giants are in for the big fall.

If you have ever heard of the bible story David and Goliath and are familiar with the life of David you will know he seemed to fall in his life as often as he seemed to stand.  He seemed to stumble and fall as often as he conquered.  He knew and heard the sound of Goliath loud and clear but he didn’t focus on Goliath, His focus was on the one that gave him the help he needed to stand and face
the giant with.

That’s why the GIANT Fell.

To many people are focusing on the weaknesses and the giants that are keeping them from achieving their dream of ever making any money online AT ALL!

–> You focus on how many products you bought and never seen a profit.

–> You focus on how many things seem to prevent you from success.

–> You focus on everyone that has made money and wonder what is wrong  with you and why can’t you make it happen.

–> You focus on all of the weaknesses you have such as tech skills or writing.

–> You focus on how much work it will be to get an awesome result instead of focusing on the awesome result.

Today I answered an email back from a possible coaching student looking for one on one help and the whole focus was on how have Dixie and I helped everyone else, instead of How we can help them.

Heck yes you have to have credibility in your programs and have the proof that it works.

But what good does it do you to know how many people I have helped if you don’t believe you will get the same results or better yourself?

Hey I’m just sayin!

It is time to get your FOCUS off the GIANT.

The Joint Venture as Part of Your Product or during the Planning Stage

Most people think a Joint Venture needs to be Partner A has a product, Partner B has a large list and promotes Partner A’s product” – and  joint  ventures are so much more than that if you do them right.

What most people just starting out don’t ever realize is that if they start out bringing their potential JV partners in as part of the project, either in the planning phase of it, or part of the content sch as Interviews or whatever your creative imagination can possibly come up with is huge.  Once you involve your JV Partners into the planning stages or even as content to the product they now have a vested  interest in the success of the product as opposed to… just another product someone wants me to pitch.

To many people get in their mind or are taught that the JV Partner comes in at the end of the process and just promotes the product.  Get the JV Partner involved before the end of the process and watch the true power of Joint Ventures reall.y begin to take hold.

I have partnered with different JV partners on many of different products and it has brought amazing results to not only to my online business but to the JV Partner’s Business as well.

Each of us have different talents and strengths that we bring into a partnership that will create a Win-win situation for everyone involved including the customer that ends up with more value in the end.

What would it have done if I would not have involved Joint Venture Partners in my product as content?

I interviewed 8 different Internet Marketing Experts; Frank Sousa, Ken McArthur, Keith Wellman, Heather Vale, Simon Leung, Gary Ambrose, Sterling Valentine, Harris Fellman, each provided content for my package through a recorded interview.  Without them I would have had a 64 page ebook which would not have supplied the customer with enough value to make my product take off as well as it did during the launch.

But each one of these partners that I interviewed now had a vested interest in my product succeeding because they were part of the product and they helped promote it in the end.

Live Seminars, “the common link” and the”turning point of success”

What a weekend I just had at the Gateway Seminar in Atlanta Georgia.  While I was in Atlanta my amazing partner Dixie Brown was experiencing her own amazing weekend at Ken McArthur’s JVAlertLive in Las Vegas.

It just does not get much better than this, especially when you are trying your best to build your own business, and make your dreams become reality.

I was able to not only attend the Gateway Seminar in Atlanta Georgia, I was able to experience in the planning for the event.

Wow did I learn a lot.  The biggest thing I learned is that event planning is nothing to take light I have found that event planning is practically a full-time job. That’s because there are countless decisions to make and a seemingly endless amount of planning to do when managing an event.

You may think that some of the details are unimportant, they’re not.  A simple oversight or bit of poor planning can wreak havoc with the entire flow of your event …

Everyone that has a part of the event needs to know exactly what their role and responsibilities are to avoid participants unsure of what is going on and not knowing who is responsible for what.   This not only leads to having a miserable time it also has the possibility of leaving  your attendees miserable, complaining and unwilling to attend any of our future seminars.
 
The purpose of a seminar is to educate and build relationships with your clients, not to destroy them!

Fortunatly this was not the case for the clients who attended the Gateway Seminar.  We had an amazing time and each of the attendees left feeling like they were overdelivered to with the value they recieved.

You must be ready for anything to happen right down to Speakers sometimes changing slides the night before and coming up to you with a brand new presentations that needs to be added to the power point 10 minutes prior to them speaking. 

One of the other biggest take-aways I came home with is the way you treat your speakers.  I watched my son Keith Wellman and his partner Gary Ambrose of the Gateway Seminar and the way they handled their speakers and it was nothing short of incredible.  This is something I seen as so very important… Afterall…

You’ve worked hard to find the perfect guest speakers to share their insight with your audience, so why would you not want to show them how much you value their contributions and make sure that their every need is attended to – from arranging their transportation to the hotel… to having a staff member greet them upon arrival… Providing a limo to take them out to eat at a special speakers appreciation dinner, to sending or giving them a DVD of their own presentation and a nice thank you gift.

I never seen speakers react in such a positive way than how they did at the Gateway Seminar. 

The speakers were totally amazing and top notch… Of course the best speaker at the event was myself as I stepped up to take the spot of one of the Top speakers that had to cancel last minute.  I started out my presentation by saying I felt like the second string player on a football team compared to the quality of speaker I was replacing. I then went on to say that I was also going to perform like the second string player that was just waiting for the opportunity to prove what they are made of.  And prove I did!  I gave the best presentation I have ever given at any of the events I have spoken at.

Other top speakers were Armand Morin, Russell Brunson, Dale Calvert, Michael Penland, Stu McLaren, Ray Edwards, Glenn Dietzel, Mike McCoy, Alex Nghiem, Jason Pearson.

Attending live events has to be the most powerful way to take your buisness tot he top in the fastest way.  But yet so many do not attend.

After looking back on my own businesses, and speaking with some of the biggest names in the field, and analyzing the path that today’s fastest rising stars took to get where they are, I found the common link and the”turning point of success” has been, without exception, attending offline, Internet marketing events.

If you are looking for ways and secrets to building a business faster, easier, and less expensively than ever before, and looking for all of the the latest methods, systems and hot new technology that the big time marketers are using and If you are looking for some amazing partners to network with and help you promote your business than I can honestly say you are missing out on all of the above if you do not find your way to the next live event you are invited to.

Stop making the excuses of why you can’t attend and make it happen.

I just returned home from Michael Penland’s Internet Marketing and Joint Venture Super Conference.
Once again I returned home knowing in my heart that attending Live events is the way to get ahead when trying to become successful online.

First off I want to thank Michael Penland for being such a gracious host and for the invitation and trust and confidence in me to be one of his guest expert speakers.

I watch people in the same position I was just a year and a half ago full of excitement and energy. I see the value they feel towards themselves, and the belief rise up within them that they can actually make this work. I remember these feelings oh so well.

Now it is all with the follow up. What is in place for follow up with these folks to ensure that they do not loose the momentum that just gained. I know what kind of follow up is in place for those that took my offer up for coaching. I am looking so forward to working with these folks to ensure there success.

This was my second event I have attended as one of the Guest Expert speakers. When I step out in front of the crowd I come alive within my Spirit. The energy is so incredible and it drives me to pour out my passion to those that are listening.

It is so hard to believe that I once was this shy high school boy who would not even look you in the eye. I have discovered the power within to rise to any occasion that presents itself to me.

That is what I want for each person I speak to.

Going to these events as the new speaker on the block drives me to do what it takes to do my best.

My goal is to get invited to every event that is out there. To do so I need each event Host to notice that I am here to win and do what it takes to be the best presenter they could have.

I knew that I probably need a little work on my closings of my presentation which could possibly mean that I would not sell the best of all the speakers from the stage. Well I proved that wrong…but just in case I wanted the host of the event to know that I was able to put people in the seats for the event.

By doing this my hopes are that when someone calls any of the hosts I speak for asking for recommendations for speakers that my name will be mentioned and that I get a high recommendation.

My job now is to polish and continue to study to show my self approve,  and keep doing what I do best and that is connect with my audience.

I have discovered my passion in Live event speaking and coaching beginner marketers. Life is FUN!

What is it that would make life fun for you?

Do you wake up in the morning excited about what you do? Do you lay your head down at night with the satisfaction that you created IMPACT in the lives of others? Do you feel like you are doing what you are called to do?

If not you need to find that passion that lies within and let it lose.

The Law Of Association and Interviewing The Expert

I just got off from a a webinar with my son Keith Wellman and my business partner Dixie Brown and we did a webinar on the Law Of association and Interviewing the Guru.

One of the best places to put this into practice to it;’s fullest is to attend a live event.  You are face to face with the Guru’s that you want to interview and it is harder for them to say no.  Of course you want to have a good logical explanation of why you want to do the interview and how it will benefit you and the expert you are interviewing and the audience that will watch the video.  Don’t just do an interview for the sake of saying you did it.  Have a purpose and a goal.

So waht is the Law of Association anyways?

or referred to by some as “Expert by Association”

If you associate yourself with someone, you are perceived to be similar / alike to that person in both positive and negative ways. If you associate yourself with a guru (someone successful) you’re also seen as someone equally successful. If you’re seen with rich and powerful people, you instantly also become rich and powerful – it’s a fact of life!  This is so Powerful.  Not only will you start acting like them you will become like them and find yourself actually starting to make the same kind of money as the rich are making.  You will give yourself permission to believe you are worthy and deserving to be rich and powerful.

One of the things I need to do to take my 6 figure business to the next level is to start hanging around those that are already generating 7 figures.  Not only does being seen by them help me as far as being associated as a 7 figure business person but I will start learning from those the methods and ways that they use to make what I am looking to make.

No matter what market you’re in, if you can convince the top experts and big names to work with you and brand yourself by leveraging on their expertise, contacts and reputation, you will make more money faster than all your competitors..

Well one of my coaching students Terry Loving took this to heart and met me at a live event that I was an expert speaker at and asked me for an interview.

I was more than happy to grant this request.  She approached me in the correct way, doing everything she had been taught to do and she did it right.  How could I possibly say no to a person that just did everything she was taught by her coach to do and most importantly took action.
