A Candy Store on Every Corner When Business Didn’t Seem That Hard!

If you’re over fifty years old you probably remember when little stores seemed to be on almost every corner. 
Candy stores, small grocery and hardware stores graced every small town making it within walking distance for most people. It was easier to start a business then. There were few zoning laws; less bureaucratic red tape and not many rules on how many exits and handicap parking you had to have. It just required lots of work and the willingness to be imprisoned to one location for many hours a day.

Unfortunately, those days are probably gone forever. Now it’s a daunting task to start your own brick and mortar shop. I admire anyone with the courage and willingness to outlay a large investment for such a venture. With the current governmental climate, it’s almost assured that there will be more restrictions, not less in the future for brave entrepreneurs, but I shouldn’t get started on that.

There is still ways to re-create those days when you could begin a small business without a fistful of cash or a huge loan. You don’t have to worry about the perfect location and you don’t even have to chained to a cash register all day. You’ve probably all ready guessed I’m talking about an online business.

Just think about it, with a minimum of investment, with guidance you can receive here with Jeff Wellman’s down-to-earth products, you can have your own mini-store selling just about anything you want.  New Years 2010, How to Achieve Success!

New Years 2010…Can you believe it…. 2009 is ready to come to a close already and it is time to make your New Years resolutions 2010… STOP!  Don’t make them!

It is time for you to make those year end assessments  and take a really good look at where your at right now.  As you noticed I did not say make them New Years Resolutions!

Forget about those New Years Resolutions… They have not worked in the past, what makes ya think they will work this time around.

You are going to achieve success in 2010 only by a proper assessment of your current situation and then using it as your starting point to strategically move forward to achieving your goals!

Really take a look at what you did have success with in 2009 and how it was made possible, and look at the things that failed and why they failed.

I don’t want you to focus on how you got there, or who  you feel was responsible for getting you to your current place.

Take a real good look at where your at though right now… because no matter where that place is at… god or bad… it is your starting point for 2010.

It does not matter if you like the place your currently at or not.  The plain simple truth is where your at…is where your at.  Do not beat yourself up if you don’t like your assessment.  It is not about the good or bad you reveal in your assessment… Its how we move forward from today that really counts.

Take the time to acknowledge the strengths and positives you  find during your assessment and draw from them. Let them propel you forward.

Begin focusing on all of the things you currently have  that are positive no matter how big or small they may seem to you. You need to appreciate all of the things you currently have no matter how small or big what you have seems.

As we head into 2010 you need to go in with a positive attitude armed and ready for success.

Im quite sure that as you look at your current status you  will see that when 2009 is all said and done that there was  more said than more actually got done.

Guess what… It does not matter one bit…  What matters is that you are ready to move forward from this place you find yourself at and work towards your goals!  It is time to take action!

Without action you remain stuck in a rut.

Where your at right now is where you are going to start 2010 from.  You can’t go back and do a 2009 re-do, so why dwell on it.

2010 is yours to shape though.

I had a young guy get stuck in my yard yesterday when he spun out of control on the ice and ended up buried in a snowdrift.

Well he would still be there if he would not have taken some action to remove himself from the ruts he dug into my lawn.

Another guy came along and tied on a tow rope ready to pull him out but unfortunately he did it all wrong. 

He himself backed off into my lawn to tie on and when he went to pull the other guy out he buried himself in my  lawn as well.

He did not keep his vehicle on a solid base and ended up in the same place the other guy did.  STUCK IN MY Lawn that is now full of big Ruts!

The 3rd guy that came along knew what needed to be done and he proceeded to pull them both out and get them back on the road to reaching their destination.

As we end 2009 and start out 2010 here is my advice to you.

1.  Assess your current point in life and acknowledge it.  (remember it does not matter how or who got you there..  and don’t beat yourself up if you don’t like your assessment.)

2.  Focus on the positive things you have right now… No matter how big or small.

3.  Find someone or something that is already on a good solid base to tie on to.  (model Success… Find a mentor that cares about where your heading)

4.  Know that you can’t control some of the things that happen, but you can control your response to them!

5.  Celebrate every small successes you have. It is the small things that are going to keep you going.  (When I was in the Marine Corps I learned pretty fast it did not take a very big bomb to make a big hole on Impact!)  It is important to have your big lofty end goals but that is not where your focus should be.  Our big lofty goals will always be re-shaped and revised.  Focus on the samll action oriented achievable goals that are going to get you to the end results.  No matter how small or insignificant a success may look or seem… it is importnat to remember it was a success and it needs to be celebrated in a big way.

6.  I Can’t or it is impossible is no longer in your vocabulary for 2010.  Who the heck told you that you can’t?  Who the heck is telling you it is impossible.  It is nothing but a big lie.  (I know that all things are possible through Christ who gives me strength and there is nobody that will ever convince me differently ACCEPT ME!) Time for a new vocabulary!

Brand New Step-By-Step PLR Tactics

I’ve got four great step-by-step PLR tactics that I want to share with you today. I want you to pay really close attention because one (or more) of these could be the key to your success!

First let me explain each of these tactics and then I’ll give you a step by step for each of them so you can do the same thing…

New PLR Tactic #1 – I’ve been taking niche PLR products that I have, having new graphics done for them, and putting them on their own domain name as a real product for sale. I don’t sell them though. I sell the entire site. It takes me about 1-2 hours to put together, and I’ve made over $700 just from doing this on ONE site!

New PLR Tactic #2 – Many PLR products come with a squeeze page, an email series, and some articles. I again have new graphics made, load up the squeeze page on it’s own domain name and load in the email series to my autoresponder. Throughout the email series though I find affiliate products to promote. I also take the articles and load them into my autoresponder with affiliate links in them. I then promote my squeeze page (with article marketing and ezine advertising) and make money from affiliate sales. I LOVE this tactic.

Something else I will be trying is actually selling the squeeze pages with the autoresponder loaded. All I’ll have to do is change the affiliate ID’s to the person who buys it and all they have to do is advertise. I’ll let you know how that works out.

New PLR Tactic #3 – Membership sites. I’ve been creating membership sites in small niches. Like I have one on landscaping. I charge $6.95 a month for the membership and have 63 members. That’s $437.85 I make a month and all I did was advertise in two ezines that cost me a whopping total of $19 for both. The only upkeep on the site is adding information (from my PLR products) about landscaping.

Now here’s a question I know I’ll get: Liz, What if I start a membership site and run out of PLR content? It’s happened to me, and this is what I did. I had 10 articles written ($50) and recorded me reading each of them. Put them in the membership sites as 10 new audios about landscaping. All I’m out is $50. You can also have articles written and turn it into a report or ebook. I’ve only run out of PLR content on one membership site I have and it’s about pit bulls. I knew I’d eventually run out of content for it, so now I spend $50 a month and have the content created. I have 144 members at that site that pay $12.95 a month for their membership so $50 a month is nothing.

New PLR Tactic #4 – Content for content sites. Lately I’ve been taking ebooks that I have PLR too, and breaking them down into blog posts. I’ll create a blog on the topic, and then just break the ebook down into several blog post. I use a blog poster to post the content about 2-3 times a week and I have a blog running on autopilot.

I have monetized these blogs with both Adsense, affiliate programs, selling advertising and links from then, and just by selling them.

Okay, now let’s take each of these topics and go step-by-step with them….

Once you have PLR content, pick a plan below and get started!

New PLR Tactic #1 Step-By-Step Plan -

1. Pick a PLR Product
2. Have new graphics made for your product. (Will cost you between $50-$150)
3. Setup the sales page and download page for your product.
4. Sell the site.

Tip: You can sell your sites on Ebay, and several webmaster forums. Just search for places to sell your site and you’ll find plenty. Of course I can’t give away my secret resources. Can’t have you guys competing with me, right?

Tip: I do video tours of my sites. I use camtasia and show everyone the site, the process of how it works, and how they’ll make money. This makes my sites sell FAST.

New PLR Tactic #2 Step-By-Step Plan -

1. Pick a PLR product.
2. Have new graphics made for your squeeze page.
3. Set your squeeze page up.
4. Find affiliate products to promote within the ecourse and the articles you get.
5. Load them into your autoresponder.
6. Promote site or sell it.

New PLR Tactic #3 Step-By-Step Plan -

1. Pick a niche that you have a lot of PLR products for.
2. Setup a membership site. (I recommend LFM)
3. Add content to your membership site.
4. Have a sales letter created selling your membership site.
5. Advertise your membership site.
6. Add content monthly to your membership site.

Tip: Remember if you run out of content you can always have more content created. Just use the freelance sites like Elance.com Guru.com and the like.

Tip: Have an affiliate program. This will allow others to promote your site for you and make you money.

New PLR Tactic #4 Step-By-Step Plan -

1. Pick a PLR product.
2. Break it down into small blog posts. (300-400 word posts are sufficent.)
3. Setup your blog.
4. Get a blog autoposter like RSS to Blog and have it post to your blog 2-3 times a week.
5. Decide how to monetize your site. (Adsense, affiliate programs, selling advertising from them, or selling the entire blog.)

Okay, now you know even more of my secrets. There’s a lot of information here and using any one of these plans, a few, or all is really going to make you a nice income!

I have to wonder where your focus is right now as you strive to achieve the success you desire and actually start growing your online business and actually starting to make money on the Internet.  Are you focusing on the giant, or the Success and your strengths?  If you are focused on the giant you are about to stumble.

Facing 2009 life is going to taunt many of us with bills you can’t pay, people you can’t please, habits you just can’t seem to break, failures you just can’t seem to forget, and a future that you just can’t seem to face or you don’t want to face as you can’t see how it is going to possibly have even an OK outcome.

You are hearing the sounds of your giants or your Goliaths loud and clear aren’t you?

You know your Goliath or your Giant,  You recognize his walk and the thunder of his loud voice as he taunts you over and over again with everything that seems to be a failure in your life.  Each bill you can’t pay he says, “your going under and there is no hope.” Each person you fail to please he calls you a looser, Every Job that falls away he tells you that you can’t even provide for your family, and on and on it goes.

I know this to be true as I faced these giants in my life and still do from time to time.

But guess what… Goliath has and will continue to be defeated unless “YOU” allow him to have the victory over you.

FOCUS on the Giant and you will continue to stumble…Focus on your help and your strengths and the giants are in for the big fall.

If you have ever heard of the bible story David and Goliath and are familiar with the life of David you will know he seemed to fall in his life as often as he seemed to stand.  He seemed to stumble and fall as often as he conquered.  He knew and heard the sound of Goliath loud and clear but he didn’t focus on Goliath, His focus was on the one that gave him the help he needed to stand and face
the giant with.

That’s why the GIANT Fell.

To many people are focusing on the weaknesses and the giants that are keeping them from achieving their dream of ever making any money online AT ALL!

–> You focus on how many products you bought and never seen a profit.

–> You focus on how many things seem to prevent you from success.

–> You focus on everyone that has made money and wonder what is wrong  with you and why can’t you make it happen.

–> You focus on all of the weaknesses you have such as tech skills or writing.

–> You focus on how much work it will be to get an awesome result instead of focusing on the awesome result.

Today I answered an email back from a possible coaching student looking for one on one help and the whole focus was on how have Dixie and I helped everyone else, instead of How we can help them.

Heck yes you have to have credibility in your programs and have the proof that it works.

But what good does it do you to know how many people I have helped if you don’t believe you will get the same results or better yourself?
