Where to find Joint Venture Partners in any Niche Market

One of the most asked questions I get during any coaching session is, “How do I get Joint Venture Partners and where do I look for them in my Niche.

Identifying potential Joint Venture (JV) partners is relatively easy online as there are so many places to locate them, and I will get right to revealing some of the many ways.

Here’s a few examples :

Google/Search Engine Strategy

One of the first ways we need to look into is the use of Google or search engine strategy.  Your very first step is one that you have done so many times before, and that is you need to open up Google, or your favorite search engin and type in your niche keyword. Google will search for other Internet marketers and businesses that are in your niche.

Search the paid and non paid listings and find the contact information for each potential Joint Venture partner. Sometimes you can find this information by clicking on the contact links on the website. Remember to collect the information that I told you to collect int he previous post Jeff Wellman’s tips to unlocking the power of Joint Ventures http://www.layoffyourbossmarketing.com/blog/?p=212

Searcfh Whois.net

Another option is to find contact information for a website by running that website through www.whois.net. or you can use http://www.betterwhois.com

Whois.net is a domain-based research center that you can type in the domain name of the website you are on and generally get any contact information you need on the person who registered that particular domain.  At times they may have privacy settings that will not allow you to do this but more often than not you will be able to find good contact information for these site owners.

Find contact information on at least 30 Joint Venture partner possibilities.

Article Directories

Find contact information by following links in the resource box that will lead to the websites of the experts that wrote the article and their contact information, and once again contact the articles author.

Another strategy you could do would be to link your website to the articles you find and then contact the article owner to let them know you have done so.  Now It’s pretty well assumed that no one is going to object to your giving them exposure in this way so why contact them to let them know?

This gives you a reason to call them and make contact.  You just call  the article author and say,  ”I’ve linked to your article is this okay with you?” This gives a great opening to some good old friendly discussion and
maybe the possibility of an exchange of Ideas… if nothing more it opens up a good avenue of relationship building.

Attend Live Seminar Events (Get out and meet people)

OK this should have been the first one I started out with because the number 1 way to create a Joint Venture Partnership certainly is meeting people live in person.

The reason I didn’t start right out with it is because I get the most excuses as to why you cant possibly attend a live seminar event.

Well I am here to tell you one more time that there is no better way to form real partnerships and form relationships than the Face-To-Face meeting…This is where the deals and relationships are made.

I can’t even begin to tell you all of the many ways that attending live events have helped grow my business and my relationships with my Joint Venture Partners.  Without attending a Live Seminar my first product would have fallen way short of what I was able to accomplish with my launch.

I basically was able to create most of the content of product at the live event I attended through interviewing the experts that I found and approached at the event.

Remember you will still need to work on your approach which I discussed in previous post http://www.layoffyourbossmarketing.com/blog/?p=212

Of course there is so much more to just going to the live event as even this can be just  business…

Real JV Partnerships are formed when it actually breaks from the business to, “Hey let’s go have a burger or a drink together,” that’s where relationships are formed.

Whenever I go to seminars and hear speakers being introduced by the host it always starts out I first met This next speaker at a seminar…and one right after another it continues…  “I  met you  at a seminar, I met you at a seminar…” That’s the way it’s done.

To many people just look at live events as a ‘good ol’ boys’ club, and that the Gurus will not be the slightest bit interested in what I have to say anyways. That perception is just totally wrong as I found out very quickly.  I want you to know that  anybody can be a part of this group.

Everybody is welcome to get to know us – we’re very accessible.  You may run across one or two that make you feel like they are better than everyone else there but those are the ones that are not even worth pursuing in the first place.

But you have to do the initiating of the relationship, we’re just not going to do it for you.   I highly
recommend that you go to seminars and get to know myself and other marketers.  Make sure you bring your business cards.

Also another great tactic to use while at these seminars is to have your picture taken with the Gurus you meet.

Get Your Picture Taken With Gurus

Mike Morgan, Jason, DeVelvis, Stuart Tan, Jeff Wellman at JvAlertLve in Philadelphia 2008

I say get a picture with absolutely everyone  that you meet at events and then say, “Can I have your email so I can send you a copy?”  Then I send you back a physical copy of the picture and I sign it.  .

Get an account with sendoutcards.com and create a card and send out to the JV Partner with the picture you had taken with the both of you and let them know what a great time you had.

This is a reminder to the potential JV Partner as to who you are.

As with any of the other suggestions I can give you it is going to take action and dedication on your part.  You can make the decision to use any of these methods, but without action on your part you are like I said before, “dead in the water.”

Until Next post I hope you decide to try out some of these methods.  Please feel free to leave comments or let me know how they worked for you.

Internet Marketing Seminar Events

Live Seminars, “the common link” and the”turning point of success”

What a weekend I just had at the Gateway Seminar in Atlanta Georgia.  While I was in Atlanta my amazing partner Dixie Brown was experiencing her own amazing weekend at Ken McArthur’s JVAlertLive in Las Vegas.

(Dixie is my online partner in our coaching and mentoring program Layoff Your Boss 2 Success Coaching.)

It just does not get much better than this, especially when you are trying your best to build your own business, and make your dreams become reality.

I was able to not only attend the Gateway Seminar in Atlanta Georgia, I was able to experience in the planning for the event.

Wow did I learn a lot.  The biggest thing I learned is that event planning is nothing to take light I have found that event planning is practically a full-time job. That’s because there are countless decisions to make and a seemingly endless amount of planning to do when managing an event.

You may think that some of the details are unimportant, they’re not.  A simple oversight or bit of poor planning can wreak havoc with the entire flow of your event …

Everyone that has a part of the event needs to know exactly what their role and responsibilities are to avoid participants unsure of what is going on and not knowing who is responsible for what.   This not only leads to having a miserable time it also has the possibility of leaving  your attendees miserable, complaining and unwilling to attend any of our future seminars.

The purpose of a seminar is to educate and build relationships with your clients, not to destroy them!

Fortunatly this was not the case for the clients who attended the Gateway Seminar.  We had an amazing time and each of the attendees left feeling like they were overdelivered to with the value they recieved.

You must be ready for anything to happen right down to Speakers sometimes changing slides the night before and coming up to you with a brand new presentations that needs to be added to the power point 10 minutes prior to them speaking.

One of the other biggest take-aways I came home with is the way you treat your speakers.  I watched my son Keith Wellman and his partner Gary Ambrose of the Gateway Seminar and the way they handled their speakers and it was nothing short of incredible.  This is something I seen as so very important… Afterall…

You’ve worked hard to find the perfect guest speakers to share their insight with your audience, so why would you not want to show them how much you value their contributions and make sure that their every need is attended to – from arranging their transportation to the hotel… to having a staff member greet them upon arrival… Providing a limo to take them out to eat at a special speakers appreciation dinner, to sending or giving them a DVD of their own presentation and a nice thank you gift.

I never seen speakers react in such a positive way than how they did at the Gateway Seminar.

The speakers were totally amazing and top notch… Of course the best speaker at the event was myself as I stepped up to take the spot of one of the Top speakers that had to cancel last minute.  I started out my presentation by saying I felt like the second string player on a football team compared to the quality of speaker I was replacing. I then went on to say that I was also going to perform like the second string player that was just waiting for the opportunity to prove what they are made of.  And prove I did!  I gave the best presentation I have ever given at any of the events I have spoken at.

Other top speakers were Armand Morin, Russell Brunson, Dale Calvert, Michael Penland, Stu McLaren, Ray Edwards, Glenn Dietzel, Mike McCoy, Alex Nghiem, Jason Pearson.

Attending live events has to be the most powerful way to take your buisness tot he top in the fastest way.  But yet so many do not attend.

After looking back on my own businesses, and speaking with some of the biggest names in the field, and analyzing the path that today’s fastest rising stars took to get where they are, I found the common link and the”turning point of success” has been, without exception, attending offline, Internet marketing events.

If you are looking for ways and secrets to building a business faster, easier, and less expensively than ever before, and looking for all of the the latest methods, systems and hot new technology that the big time marketers are using and If you are looking for some amazing partners to network with and help you promote your business than I can honestly say you are missing out on all of the above if you do not find your way to the next live event you are invited to.

Stop making the excuses of why you can’t attend and make it happen.

The next Gateway Seminar will be held in early March in Atlanta Georgia once again and we are already working on some of the most incredible speakers…to deliver top notch content and value just for you.

There are really only two paths you can travel – and right now, you’re at the proverbial fork in the road …

One path brings you more of struggle and frustration you’re used to, a path I’m sure you’re sick and tired of traveling alone ….

While, on the other hand, the path less chosen looks a little different to you, because it’s the unfamiliar road to success …

And on this path, you’ll never be alone. When you take this direction, you’ll find yourself surrounded with the kinds of warm people you want to know, the very people who will make sure you get right where you want to be.

Give yourself a fighting chance, and take the path less chosen.  Attend a Live Event

Life’s Golden Ticket Super Seminar is Calling Us To Create Some Impact

Ken McArthur’s IMPACT ACTION TEAM 2008

One Super Seminar down and I am packing my bags again and ready to head out to Brendon Burchard’s Life’s Golden Ticket Super Seminar in Long Beach California.

Hopefully the plane ride will be a little less eventful than the one home from Michael Penland’s event in Orlando Florida this past weekend. Made an emergency landing in Atlanta with one engine gone. Was not the kind of Impact I like to have in my life. But it sure gets you thinking about your life and how you have lived it while you are waiting for the pilot to land the plane safely.

Well this weekend is a chance for me to live my life while creating IMPACT as a member of Ken McArthur’s Impact action team. We are going to be attending Brendon Burchard’s live seminar and doing our best to bring awareness to teen suicide and help a fellow Impact Action member Deremiah *CPE create Impact for his life’s mission and that is bringing awareness and prevention to teen suicide.

Before I leave I would like to leave you with a way that you can be a positive IMPACT in the lives of those around you.

Think “G.I.V.E.”

Our real and only goal should be to touch “THE ONE”

That SINGLE individual who out of the “millions we want to motivate” more than anything needs us to G-I-V-E to out attention no one else but them.

To care about, see value in, and acknowledge them – solely.

So as you go about carrying out all the various activities of your week and putting into motion the plans you have set to make MASSIVE IMPACT.

I pray that you will see the extraordinary in the ordinary and the VALUE ALL of your actions as having merit.

This week, I challenge you to:

G-I-V-E, from your purest intentions
G-I-V-E, with an attitude of gratitude
GIVE, without the expectation of ANYTHING in return

I had to create a video of my life for the event and thought I would share it with you.  It shows so many people in my life that have given to me.

Jeff Wellman Expert Speaker Creating IMPACT

Keith Wellman           Jeff (me) Wellman         Michael Penland

I just returned home from Michael Penland’s Internet Marketing and Joint Venture Super Conference.
Once again I returned home knowing in my heart that attending Live events is the way to get ahead when trying to become successful online.

First off I want to thank Michael Penland for being such a gracious host and for the invitation and trust and confidence in me to be one of his guest expert speakers.

I watch people in the same position I was just a year and a half ago full of excitement and energy. I see the value they feel towards themselves, and the belief rise up within them that they can actually make this work. I remember these feelings oh so well.

Now it is all with the follow up. What is in place for follow up with these folks to ensure that they do not loose the momentum that just gained. I know what kind of follow up is in place for those that took my offer up for coaching. I am looking so forward to working with these folks to ensure there success.

This was my second event I have attended as one of the Guest Expert speakers. When I step out in front of the crowd I come alive within my Spirit. The energy is so incredible and it drives me to pour out my passion to those that are listening.

It is so hard to believe that I once was this shy high school boy who would not even look you in the eye. I have discovered the power within to rise to any occasion that presents itself to me.

That is what I want for each person I speak to.

Going to these events as the new speaker on the block drives me to do what it takes to do my best.

My goal is to get invited to every event that is out there. To do so I need each event Host to notice that I am here to win and do what it takes to be the best presenter they could have.

I knew that I probably need a little work on my closings of my presentation which could possibly mean that I would not sell the best of all the speakers from the stage. Well I proved that wrong…but just in case I wanted the host of the event to know that I was able to put people in the seats for the event.

By doing this my hopes are that when someone calls any of the hosts I speak for asking for recommendations for speakers that my name will be mentioned and that I get a high recommendation.

My job now is to polish and continue to study to show my self approve,  and keep doing what I do best and that is connect with my audience.

I have discovered my passion in Live event speaking and coaching beginner marketers. Life is FUN!

What is it that would make life fun for you?

Do you wake up in the morning excited about what you do? Do you lay your head down at night with the satisfaction that you created IMPACT in the lives of others? Do you feel like you are doing what you are called to do?

If not you need to find that passion that lies within and let it lose.

To your Success and Laying Off Your Boss

PS:  Once again no picture taken with Ross Goldberg the nicest guy in Internet Marketing, and picture of me speaking from stage. Anyone attending the event take one of me speaking? would love to have one somedy.

Next weekend it is off to Brendon Burchard’s Life’s Golden Ticket Super Seminar event in Long Beach California.  and then off to Keith Wellman and Gary Ambrose’s Gateway to Wealth Seminar in Atlanta Georgia.

Would love to have you join me at either of these events, so that I can get to know you.

What made people cry at Michael Penland’s Event

We never know just when we will create the greatest Impact and who it will effect.

There may be times that we never know that we actually effected someones life to the degree we do.

One of my main goals in my business is to make a great IMPACT in the lives of those I come in contact with.

I just thought I would share a letter I recieved awhile back from a 17 year old boy.

I read this letter when I spoke at Ken McArthur’s jVAlertLive in Long Beach CA and again at this weekend during Michael Penland’s Orlado Event that I spoke at.  It will forever be a huge part of my presentation.

Once again it brought tears to the listeners.

Read it for yourself.

Dear Jeff,

I hope it is ok to call you Jeff,

I feel like I have known you forever.  It is almost like you can see into my life and know what it is that I need most.  I am sure this is something God enables you to do.

Although I really don’t know God all that well.

I have been following you since you layed off your boss.

Way to go man…that was great!

I have also been trying to tell my father that he can do the same as you.  I have been learning and trying to show him also but, he just is unhappy and does not respond to me at all.

He has lost the feeling that he is really capable of meeting the needs of his family.

He works at a gas station right now and it is hard to really keep all of the bills paid. Plus he really does not like the job he is doing.  He lost a pretty good job due to a company downsizing after 17 years of giving everything he had to this place.

Today I seen your new product and read the sales page.  I cried for my father.  Was not a pretty site for a 17 year old boy to be crying like a baby.

I showed my father this, he was reluctant at first as usual until I showed him the cows. I thought they were great.  Got to admit it was something I didn’t expect to see on a sales page. Anyways my Father wouldn’t read the story so I read it to him.

When I was done I told my father that he was you and I believed in him the way that your son Keith believed in you.

It got pretty bad for awhile as my father hugged me for the first time I can ever remember, and a 17 year old boy and a 48 year old man cried together.  This was the first time my father showed me this genuine quality I always knew he had.

I don’t know if this product is something that is doing well for you or not.  But please know that it made a difference.

My father still does not know that he is cut out for an Internet business.  But I think he believes it is something I can do now.

He said to say thank you to the man with the cows. And then He SMILED.  You don’t know how long it has been.

Thank you so much

Justin

Who’s life will you touch today?

To creating IMPACT!

Jeff
